Lamela and Kane- Young Guns, Not Gunners

Europa league is never the most exciting of tournaments unless your own team is involved. However, Erik Lamela and Harry Kane tonight showed us how entertaining individual players can make it.

With two wonderfully executed goals, Erik Lamela managed to ignite this game for everyone. The Robana, a technique that can be executed by the worlds best and should only be attempted at your own risk. Lamela's new installed confidence under Pochettino enabled him to not only attempt a Robana but also fantastically execute one from outside of the eighteen-yard box and it absolutely flew into the top corner, leaving the keeper stranded. A Robana that even David Dunn has to admire. As if he hadn’t produced enough, he also managed to latch on to his blocked shot, riffling home a volley from an extremely difficult angle.

Harry Kane's Hat-rick would probably have been over shadowed slightly by Lamela's world-class strikes but when Hugo Lloris was sent off in the 87th minute and he decided to take the gloves, he may just have snatched some of that limelight back. After scoring a Hat-rick, Harry Kane felt so confident that his hand was first up to replace Lloris' goalkeeping talents, much to the delight of the Spurs fans. Kane managed to get all of his body behind the ball from the Free Kick that Lloris gave away, only to be spilled into the back of the net.

The game ended 5-1 but the result isn’t really what mattered to anyone, it was the talents of Kane and Lamela, which really caught the eye.
